NKJ Ephesians 6:15
And having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace

THE REASON WHY WE WEAR SHOES ARE

•   To protect our feet
•   To walk with confidence
•   To Move Forward

I- Soldiers protect their feet by wearing sandals with shin guards.

a. It's necessary to tie your shoes to prevent falling.

NKJ Exodus 12:11
And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.

b. We need it in order to go out into the world and preach the gospel.
c. This message is urgent because our enemy never rests, and souls are dying.

The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, wear your sandals, soldier, and tie them hard.

II- Soldiers had the confidence to walk and not worry for the rocky hills and roads.
a. It is when you prepare yourself with the knowledge of the gospel and then feel ready.
b. When the world is collapsing with many deceitful ways and immoral ideas, but you are still preaching the true gospel of Christ.
c. Because you receive peace when Jesus removes sin from your soul, with the Gospel of Peace and not gospel of war.

Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

The gospel offers peace to every soul because of the precious blood of Jesus, and His promises of resurrection to eternal life.

III- We cannot think about defence only, Soldiers go into the line of fire to save others.

a. This is exactly what Jesus did for us, fighting the enemy and focused in salvation at the end.
b. The authority of Christ is leading us forward, blessing the feet of those who are preaching the gospel of salvation.
c. Let's move forward knowing this:

1- Jesus died on the cross for my sins according to the scriptures.
We need to die for our old life of sin.
2- His dead body was buried for three days.
We must be buried in the waters, where the blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit makes us holy and blameless.
3- Our Lord Jesus resurrected from death, therefore we need to live in newness of life.
