NKJ Matthew 24:45-51
45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
46 "Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
47 "Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.

48 "But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,'
49 "and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,
50 "the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,
51 "and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The story brings two different servants. One is faithful and wise, the other is evil.

I.- The evil one has evil things in his heart. a) This happened because the desires of his soul were sinful.
1 Peter 2: 11 (abstain from it) Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims,
abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

b) That kind of heart looks for immediate joy, and loses faith in the promises of Christ.
c) The evil servant did not love his neighbors, he hated and condemned.
d) Spend the precious time of the Lord in the pleasures of the flesh with the unfaithful.
e) "By trying to gain more, losses all,"
Luke 9:25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?

II.- The heart of the faithful servant held the promises of Jesus Christ. a) Manifested that he was wise because of his spiritual decisions.
b) Because of his obedience.
       Romans 16:19 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you;
but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

c) His faith rejoiced in the promises of Christ, waiting in the reward.
d) This is the good servant, the one who feeds others at the right time.

Jesus has ordered us to preach the gospel to the whole world in and out of time.

We are stewards of the word of GOD,

This scripture is talking about me as if I am a parent, an uncle, as if I have grandchildren, cousins, family or neighbors, I am that servant.
