There's a reason soldiers wear helmets when they are in battle, or when the enemy 1s near;

• To protect the most fragile and dangerous part of our body
• Because any strike to the head is deadly.
• With the helmet, you protect your skull and most importantly the brain
• To prevent brain damage.

NKJ Ephesians 6: 17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I.- This is not a regular helmet.

a. Metal helmets are weaker than diamond.
b. The helmet Paul asks us to put in on is divine.
c. It's an impenetrable helmet which protects the grace of Salvation.

• The righteousness received from GOD,
• Protects your soul from sin,
• Saves your faith from falling and getting lost.

II.- The enemy knows how important it is for you to protect your mind, therefore he attacks our thoughts.

a. Not that he has all knowledge to read your mind, but can bring all bad influences to you.

• The influences of the world
• The influences for the loss of the flesh.
• The influences for the loss of the eyes.
• The influences for a prideful life.

b. The devil is waiting for you to remove the helmet and to change your thoughts.

• To become selfish
• To become immoral
•To be foolish and lose your soul, your heart, your salvation.

III.- Without the divine helmet, our thoughts are lost and far from GOD.

NKJ Isaiah 55:7-9
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD,
And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.
9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

When you repent from your sins confessing Jesus is the Son of GOD and ae baptized, and your sins are forgiven, when the gift of the Spirit creates a temple in your heart receiving the promises of salvation and eternal life, then you put on the divine helmet which is given to you by GOD.

NKJ Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
