NKJ Ephesians 6:14
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness
I.- The breastplate of the righteousness of GOD.
a) It's the highest standard in which GOD is looking for each one of us.
b) GOD sent His Son Jesus so we can receive the direction for GOD'S standard.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with
every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
c) Our Father does not want our souls without His truth. Souls (PSUCHE) is the
intellectual part of us, (all that I know). The Will, (all the things we desire).
The Emotions (all that we feel).
d) NKJ 1 Peter 2:11
Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts
which war against the soul,
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of th
son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
II. The new man starts in the spirit, (PNEUMA).
a) When we listen and obey the truth, Jesus removes our sins.
NKJ Ephesians 4:21-24
21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness
b) Our spirit rejoices in praising GOD, but the flesh maintains sin, evil acts and perverted thoughts.
NKJ Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the is weak.
NKJ Ephesians 5:8-11
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),
10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
Are you feeding your past self? Are you maintaining it?
NKJ Romans 6:6-7
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin
might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
It's like a pile of dirty dishes in the sink, inviting flies and roaches to your home.
Likewise, you are inviting more unclean spirits to your life when you only maintain
the sin in your heart. Not repenting from them, not letting Jesus remove it from your life.
You prefer to hide your dirty dishes in the dishwasher or under the sink and your home is infested.
You don't want to start from the spirit because you want your soul (PSUCHE) to dictate if you are clean or not.
