This describes God’s forgiveness and cleansing of our sins through Jesus Christ.
When we repent and put our faith in Christ, God forgives us and cleanses us from the stain of sin.
When Jesus died on the cross, His sacrificial death was for our sins.
His blood has the power to cleanse us from sin.
Once we have been baptized our sins are forgiven.
Then it becomes a process of making sure we do not commit new sins. If we do, and repent for those sins, Jesus will wash those sins away.
